NorthStar Regional is proud to announce the opening of our new addiction treatment facility in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Our new campus provides comprehensive, high-quality care for individuals seeking to overcome addiction. Our new location has three primary programs designed to help with rehabilitation and reintegration into the workforce and day-to-day life.
Men’s Residential Treatment Program
Our Men’s Residential Program offers a structured, live-in environment where clients can focus on recovery. Our goal is to help individuals find freedom from the chains of addiction. Helping people find new jobs and set up each person with a new life once they leave our Eden Prairie location. The Men’s Residential Treatment Program includes:
- Group and individual therapy sessions
- Educational lectures
- Meditation practices
- Recreational therapy
- Participation in 12-step support groups
Clients reside on the third floor of our facility, with 24-hour staffing to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Our holistic approach addresses substance abuse, mental health, and medical needs, aiming for comprehensive healing.
Men’s Co-Occurring Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) with Lodging
IOP Level of Care Opens March 3rd, 2025
This program will offer intensive therapy sessions combined with lodging accommodations, catering to individuals dealing with both addiction and mental health disorders.

Our substance use disorder treatment consists of co-occurring disorders intensive outpatient programs (IOP) that address substance use, mental health issues, and medical/psychiatric issues at the same time. Our programs are open to both men and women, with gender-specific lodging available for those in our IOP.
People who have a substance use disorder as well as a mental health disorder are diagnosed as having co-occurring disorders. This is also sometimes called a dual diagnosis. A substance use disorder includes alcohol or drug abuse.
Our substance use disorder treatment program is designed specifically for the treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Our philosophy is that recovery must tackle chemical and emotional issues simultaneously, in the same place with the same team.
Treatment of co-occurring disorders is designed for two primary reasons:
- Reduce symptoms
- Prevent relapse.
