Kathryn Harvey

Program Director

Kathryn is the Program Director at NorthStar Regional’s men’s treatment center in Chaska. With over 13 years of experience as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Kathryn has dedicated her career to helping individuals navigate the journey of addiction recovery and discover purpose in their lives.

A graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, Kathryn earned her B.S. in Alcohol and Drug Studies and has since excelled in various counseling roles. Her two years at NorthStar Regional’s Men’s Residential Treatment Center have been marked by her unwavering commitment to excellence and compassionate care.

Kathryn believes in fostering a healthy work-life balance and enjoys collaborating with her team to provide leadership and support. Her passion for addiction recovery and her drive to inspire others make her an invaluable part of the NorthStar Regional community.

Addiction and Mental Health Treatment

Addiction treatment and mental health counseling are our two core services, and designated programs include co-occurring care.

Substance use care spans medical detox through sober housing. Outpatient mental health stands on its own: you don’t need a substance use diagnosis to be seen.

Step One: You Call

We listen to what you are struggling with, what you need, and where you want to go. Then we walk through your options and find the right starting point for you. From day one, we also help with insurance enrollment, financial assistance, clothing, and essentials.

Step Two: We Pick You Up

An admissions coordinator stays on the line while a carefully vetted driver, most often someone in long-term recovery, picks you up anywhere in the Twin Cities metro. In the vehicle there is water, electrolytes, and a meal on the way, because arriving cared for matters.
